What is Budding Artists Membership
BAM is a self paced year long art membership for children between the age 8-12 years old. In the membership, children will learn how to create artworks with multiple professional mediums. In BAM, we take our Art seriously. We not not only look at what is fun for a child, we also look at why it is so damn difficult to learn how to draw professionally and realistically. We will hand you the key to unlock the mystery of drawing, all in a fun and intuitive way of learning.

No more “copy style cartoonish drawing”. No more aimless searching and copying of youtube videos that may or may not succeed. Budding Artists Membership’s curriculum makes sure that the learning can happen in a structured and scaffolded manner
In BAM, your child will gain exposure to mediums such as charcoal, acrylics, watercolours, printmaking much like in an art school. The best part? You get to go at your own pace. You get to watch our tutorials online anytime you like and as many times as you like.
As a BAM member, your child will get access to our private group where they can upload their artworks for monthly critiques and feedbacks by our creative founder, Teacher Ee Sock.

How is this different from the other online art classes out there?
What I am about to share here is NOT just a regular COPY HOW I draw curriculum.
The curriculum is designed to scaffold your child into learning the ART of observations. When a child can draw confidently, he/she can now express themselves effectively.
Who can join Budding Artists Membership?
This membership curriculum is designed for age 8-12 years old. Children of this age group who wishes to expand on their existing art skills are welcome to join our membership
Can my 7 year old join Budding Artists Membership?
Children of different age group have very different learning needs, especially young children. If your child is not yet 8 years old, please join our Curious Creators Membership instead.
Is this a course?
No this is not a course. A course is short term. Our online academy is offering long term support through subscriptions. Just like no parent will send their child for a class for 1 holiday class and expect a lasting transformation, why should this be any different? All skills are built up like muscles. In order for your child to get a quality art education and pick up decent skills, consistent exposure is necessary. That’s why we designed the subscription.
Why don’t you conduct ZOOM classes?
Most ZOOM classes are reduced to basic copy drawing and painting classes. There are already plenty of these out there. If you want true independence and confidence in learning how to draw, a child must learn how to observe effectively for themselves and trust their eyes. So they cannot just COPY. They need to be engaged in the subject and think for themselves.
How is this different from Youtube videos ?
Ever tried a youtube painting and it never turns out the way you want it to look like? Ever google pre-school art activities only to find very simple kindergarten crafts handprint crafts that celebrate Thanksgiving? The Internet has vast resources, however, they are random. Many times they will be either too simple, too complex or too out of context for you. If you have loads of time to sieve through, then I say good for you! If not, take a look at our content! Our curriculum is tried and tested against hundreds of children, Curated to match age to skill set and coupled with strong mindset work to build your children up.
What will I see once I am inside Budding Artist Membership?
You will immediately get access to all the content within the course. The classes are design as mini mourse/ modules. You can choose which module you would like to work on each month. (We are still populating the courses, but rest assured that each month we will be uploading new content.)
What if my child can’t catch up?
Our lessons are pre-recorded and there is no fixed deadline. You can choose to work on it at your own time and pace that works for you and your child. There is no need to catch up because the classes are always available for you on the platform. However if you are one of those fast ones, we have more than 1 projects/ exercise/ assignments each month that you can sink your teeth into. Each class also comes with reference images that allow you to practise multiple times. Practise makes progress.
Is this going to be time consuming?
You control your own learning schedule! The classes are always available for you as long as you are in the subscription. For younger children parents are encouraged to participate actively in curating the experience. This simply means watching the pre-activity videos to get the mindset and materials ready.
Why can't you provide materials?
Shipping is a major headache especially cross borders. For now I will leave the shipping and logistics to the expert. As we grow, if I can support by creating an Amazon store with links to all the materials that you may need, I would gladly do that. However for now I would like to focus on what I do best, which is creating top notch lessons for young learners. I will include links to art shops (if you are located in Singapore)
What is the payment structure like?
We have monthly subscriptions. Once you are a member, you will have access to all content. New content will be added monthly (as we are populating the subscription)
How can we get feedback for our works?
You may submit works to be critiqued via Padlet (This may change as we navigate what's the most intuitive way to allow children to upload works for critique easily). Teacher Ee Sock will check the padlet and give feedbacks weekly. We may schedule for once a month or once every two month for a show and tell if possible.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
You can cancel anytime you like! If you like to cancel, you must do so 48 hours before your next billing date by shooting us an email.
Refunds are not possible once your payment goes through.
PS. If you cancel and return, you’ll pay the increased prices for the subscription at that time.
